This is one of the Urals’ oldest machine building factories.

“Motovilikhinskiye Zavody” Holding includes iron and steel complex, machine building enterprises including those producing oil field equipment, road building machines and heavy armaments; it has its own design office for civil and special machines design. The enterprise was established in 1736 as copper works founded by Vasily Tatishchev at the bank of a small Motovilikha river.

“Motovilikhinskiye Zavody” has its own museum where you can see a full-size reconstruction of a copper mine, an arc welding appliance invented by Nikolay Slavyanov, Mining Manager of the factory, and samples of the armaments manufactured at the factory since the mid-XIX century up today.
